August 04 Addition to Update for August postI forgot to mention that with the changes, there have been several boards added in the writing section that are password protected. These boards are for stories written that are rated above T (Above Teen). See the new rating system in each category to learn more regarding this.
If you are 18 or older, or have parental permission, PM AFG or myself for the password to these boards.
~Lady Aurora August 03 Updates for AugustWow... This is new...
As you can see the MSN Space has taken on a new look as everything dealing with MSN Messenger has changed to Windows Live. I guess it makes sense that MSN Spaces would soon be following in the same direction. So that makes a few things changing at once around here.
As it was stated on the site, Tomers has begun to undergo several changes as we attempted to become a bit more organized once again. We thought it might be nice to have a better way to organize the written works being shown on Tomers. And yes, you will see that Tomers is the official name to the site now. We have come to realize that our forum has gone in so many directions that it is no longer just a TV based forum. Skin changes will begin as time permits as well. Though that may take a bit longer.
By now, you have noticed that we no longer have a separate YGO and Zatch Bell category. They have not disappeared, merely returned to the anime section where they belonged. The RPG's based on those two animes have gone under the Entertainment category.
We have begun to implement a new warning system that I am wanting to make note of.
You all can easily see the rules no matter which page you visit. They are expressly outlined in the Please Read section of this site. If you have not read them yet, I suggest taking a gander at them now.
The policy is simply this: 1 Warning- no action taken 2 Warnings- 2 day suspension 3 Warnings- 2 WEEK suspension 4 Warnings - 1 MONTH Suspension. 5 Warnings- Account deleted and IP address banned. Hopefully it should never have to come to this. This is a site where we can have fun. Now there were new rules to be implemented that went along with the new writing sections as well. Please see that you look in at them and take note:
A new section called "Extended Profiles" Has also been added. Has there ever been a time since switing to Tomers that you wished you could have a better way to doctor up your own profile? There wasn't a way to do it with the old profiles here so we now have this way. In the Extended Profile board, you create a thread just for you. Post your favorites links, anime, movies, music, art (tasteful and not going against forum guidelines), works published somewhere-anywhere online, whatever you wish. This will also the place for you to plug your own websites in advertising. If you are not already affiliated with Tomers and wish to, please contact AFG or myself in order to do so. Otherwise, post the link to any or all of your websites in your own personal thread. If you post poetry or fics or short stories on Tomer's you can add teh links to those stories in your extended Porfile. That way if you update a story, just post an updated reply to your extended profile and anyone who has bookmarked your profile will get a notice that you have updated. The links in the profile makes it easier to locate the links to your work, thus making it eaiser to dig around and comment on it ^_^
Now for random notes, The Spotlight for August is Thriller Girl!
And we all know that August brings about one more things we all hate at the end of summer... Getting ready to return to school. So hopefully you all enjoy the last few weeks of summer vacation before having to get back into the old swing of things.
As stated, some of the layouts and header pics will be changing here over the course of the next few weeks... or month... so don't freak out on us if you see things "missing" or moved. The threads will still be around for our enjoyment ^_^
With all this said, I believe I have covered all the current updates for now. If there is anything more, I will be back here to update once more.

~Lady Aurora June 09 Updates for JuneAdmittedly there isn't much to update. Not a whole lot has been done. But there is at least one change. This change regards the Spotlight Member.
This month the spot belongs to ccs as you have noticed by now, so feel free to try to drive ccs insane if you wish ^_^
Just a small addition to the spotlight member thing
If you are interested in being a spotlight member, please PM the admin and with your request, pick ONE character so we know what kind of avvie to make you for your special month. It's been something new for us to do, but I have had some good response to it so I was hoping to continue it. Again, remember, PM the admin with your request to be a spotlight member and include the name of the character and the show the character is from. Thanks. There are several spots available and with 80 + members there are plenty of chances for everyone.
I will be attempting to add more avvies that have been collected and given permission to use here hopfully mid month, depending on how much time I have. This month was pretty packed for a month I was hoping to slow down a bit in. But at least it's productive.
Don't forget that Father's Day is June 18th.

We here at Tv Tomer' s like to support the efforts and projects of our members. Anytime we hear of something good happening to someone in our little family we like to help them to advertise it and spread the word. In this case the member would be Golden Dragon Girl. And the project is her Law of Purple Webcomic.
I have the link to an interesting story I am hoping many if not all of you would check out.
She has been working on it for quite a while now and it has really come far...
The Law of Purple is a webcomic hosted by Comic Genesis and is written and drawn by Jessica Segaard. It updates on weekdays. Most of the time.
Basic summary:
You know the story of aliens crashing to Earth...
Well here's one with a twist.
Red, Blue, Green, Whitey were all that was left of the Fayse family of Caligula after Silver- the Ruler of their planet and their cousin- had their family slaughtered. Red took charge, gathered his siblings and fled their home. Their ship suffered a damaged engine, forcing them to Earth where they meet several people they come to trust; and others they learn to regard with caution.
Follow them on their jouney as they learn more about their past, present and themselves...

~Lady Aurora Phoenix~ April 16 Maintenance completeIt took a few hours but we have everything mostly completed. There is a new warning system that is in place now. You are given a range from 0 -100. Once you have hit the 100 mark you are officially banned from teh site. 50 lands a temp. disabling of your account for about a week depending on how bad the offense. We are doubting we should have to make much use of this system. At least we are hoping not to anyway.
Starting today guest can no longer see the boards on the site. They know they are there but can no longer actually read the posts in them. The only board guests can see is the Guest registration board. As we have limited registration set up on the site now, anyone who registers will be placed on a hold until AFG or I approve the membership. Anyone registering will find it best if they make a post there in the guest board so that we are aware of the pending memberships. Once things are verified, we wil either approve or deny the membership accordingly.
Yes, we have a support board. It has been there for a while, but don't think it is open to public view. It is password protected for serious reasons. People go to this board to seek solace, help, and/or comfort for whatever they are going through. Sometimes really heavy topics are discussed here as a result so it is not open as a public board. Only those interested in helping others, or needing the help of others are able to request the passwaord from either AFG or myself. There are guidelines that MUST be followed and the thread allows you to sign. Only then can you make use of the Support Board.
All these precautions are/were neccesary after the last attack made on the site. We are hoping now that we are able to create a more safe environment for our members. If there is ever a problem feel free to contact us.

~Lady Aurora Phoenix~ April 15 Important announcementAlright guys, comments have been disabled on this site. I am very sorry I had to do this, but it had to be done. I am so sick and tired of coming on here and seeing nasty comments, and quite frankly, I'm not in the best of moods right now. I am angry.....angry because one of my best friends was hurt because of what was written here. NO ONE...I repeat...NO ONE goes after my friends like that and gets away with it.
This site was supposed to be for fun....to be able to express our opinions and feelings for our forum in peace. Unfortunantly, that privilage had to be taken away from us just like the tagboard. I don't know how long comments will be disabled. That will be up to LP. Again, I'm very sorry this had to be done....seems like everything fun we try gets ruined by people like him....
